Most people think that electric cars are 48V/60v/72V lithium batteries, so they can buy a charger online at will.
This often has two consequences!
1. The battery is not fully charged,
2. If the protection plate is damaged, it may lead to long-term overcharge or damage and fire of some batteries.
We have surveyed 90% of people do not know that there is a circuit board (protection board) inside the lithium battery, so they often only install the voltage to buy the lithium battery charger when buying the charger, without considering the current.
Our battery is not the bigger the current, the better, many people think that the faster the battery charging current charger is good, in fact, a large current will cause more problems!
The common problems are: 1. Large current leads to an increase in the internal resistance of the battery (affected by diaphragm crystallization) 2. Large current leads to a decrease in battery life. 3. We need to choose the protection board according to the discharge capacity of the protection board and the battery. When we don't know the situation of the protection board and the battery, it is best to choose the protection board with a current within 5A. In the long run, it is beneficial to the life of the battery.
Of course, it does not mean that we must choose a low-current protection board. We must choose the voltage of the charger according to the number of strings and types of lithium batteries we ride/use. In terms of charging current, it is best to choose the charger according to the recommendations of the original manufacturer selling batteries/electric vehicles.
